ABC's of CRIME PREVENTION (part 1)
Posted on Jul 8th, 2015

Crime & Safety – Our neighborhood continually deals with the same challenges faced by most in Dallas, which are
A. Houses are broken into during day time hours (typically Monday-Friday, 10 am – 6 pm)
B. Vehicles are broken into during nighttime hours (typically 12 am – 5 am)
SO WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Retirees, stay-at-home moms, and those with home businesses play a vital role by day in neighborhood safety by simply being alert to unusual or out-of-place cars and people and immediately reporting anything/anyone suspicious to the police.

When leaving your home vacated during the day always leave the appearance that someone is home by leaving interior light(s) on that are visible from outside the home as well as a radio that can be heard from the front door.
Do not have expensive/enticing electronics, etc. visible through windows.
If possible park cars in garage.  If that is not possible, never leave anything of even nominal value in your car and keep doors locked…and be sure to tell the same to visiting friends and family!

See something or someone that just looks a bit out of place or out of the ordinary? Home burglars often patrol through a neighborhood and they rely on no one seeing or acknowledging them.

Dallas Police beg us to CALL 911 and report suspicious vehicles, people, and activities.
They tell us, “It is your neighborhood, you know who or what is out of place, we don’t so please call us.”  Get the best description possible & call immediately.  CALL!  CALL!  CALL!!
